The Binghamton Community Orchestra is in the midst of a luftpause, but we’ll be back as soon as we are able to do so.  In the meantime, we are planning our concert season for 2020-2021, with lots of great music in store!  Please watch this space for further developments.  WE’LL BE BACK ! ! !


The Binghamton Community Orchestra is pleased to announce that conductor, Evan Meccarello, will be joining the orchestra as the new Music Director for the BCO beginning with the 2020-2021 concert season. Mr. Meccarello recently appeared with the orchestra as Guest Conductor in February of this current year. He has been chosen, after a yearlong search process, to succeed Dr. Timothy Perry, who served the orchestra for many years and retired after the 2018-2019 season.

The Binghamton Community Orchestra is pleased to announce this year’s winner of the Concerto Competition, held in partnership with Southern Tier Music Teacher’s Association.  We are pleased to inform you that Vestal Student, Nicholas Deady, violinist, has been chosen our winner.  Nicholas will appear with the BCO during the 2020-2021 season, performing the Violin Concerto No. 1 in G Minor, Mvt. 1 by Max Bruch.


The Binghamton Community Orchestra is pleased to announce this year’s winner of the annual Del Colbeigh Award.  This award is given to a student best reflects Del’s passion for music and commitment to community.  This years winner is Kaitlyn Marquez of Sidney, NY.

The BCO is Looking For More!

The Binghamton Community Orchestra (BCO) is seeking new members for the upcoming season. Community members interested in joining the orchestra are invited to sit in on a rehearsal and discuss joining the ensemble with the music director afterward. The orchestra rehearses weekly throughout the concert season leading up to each performance.

The BCO has provided musicians from around the Southern Tier an opportunity to play quality symphonic music since 1984. The BCO performs at least three major concerts each season and feature a variety of outstanding composers.
